1906 Legacy Society

The Memphis Zoo’s 1906 Legacy Society was established to commemorate the Zoo’s founding and to recognize those individuals who have pledged generous, lasting gifts to the Memphis Zoo through an estate gift. The Memphis Zoo has had an incredible, generational impact on the lives of Memphians, Shelby County residents, and the people of the Mid-South for more than a century.

Members of this society are both generous and forward thinking. Their gifts help ensure the viability of the Memphis Zoo for years to come, ensuring that future generations will continue to enjoy this remarkable organization dedicated to conservation and research.

1906 Legacy Society membership is voluntary and without obligation. Society members will receive special benefits, including:

  • Recognition in Memphis Zoo publications and at formal events, such as Zoo Rendezvous
  • Invitations to special Zoo events
  • The opportunity to have your donor story featured in Zoo communications
  • Early, email communication announcing the arrival of new zoo animal residents
  • Invitation to an annual Founders Day luncheon, exclusively for society members, hosted by our Zoo President and CEO
